Summary
This position is located with the FMWR Business Recreation Division on Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives may be paid.
Up to 25% recruitment or relocation and/or retention incentive may be paid (service agreement required). Recruitment incentives are applicable to newly hired individuals/rehired individuals. Relocation incentives are applicable to current, regular full-time NAF employees.

Duties
Serves as Chief Business and Recreation Division, and as such plans, manages, directs, coordinates and supervises the functions, programs and activities of the division and performs delegated personnel management responsibilities.
Establishes standards for programs, develops and implements internal control, and reviews and evaluates the efficiency of all program operations.
Ensures fiscal responsibility and monitors expenditures to ensure efficient use of funds and proper accounting procedures
Determines program strengths and weaknesses and devises ways to improve services, reduce operational costs, and increase efficiency.
Regularly inspects maintenance of records and documents/forms to insure that record, reports and correspondence are correct and complete and are forwarded at due dates.

A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Physical examination is required.
Credit check is required.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Progressively responsible experience performing related duties, which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of this position.
Experience in a supervisory capacity is mandatory.
Knowledge of the goals, concepts and techniques of a community activities program, including recreation, sports, entertainment and art, and of general management and business operations of various facilities is required.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
Possess five years of experience in formulating and executing APF and NAF budgets.

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
