Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Galaxy Club, RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom.
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tasks to support a bar/ beer serving activity.
Scheduled shifts may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical, position frequently lifts, pulls and pushes objects weighing up to 40 and over pounds.

Duties
Carries supplies and equipment, such as liquors, fruits, ice, glasses, linens and silverware from storage areas to the bar. Slices and peels fruit. Fills ice bins and crushes ice. Washes and cleans bar glasses, bar equipment and keeps the work area clean and neat.
Replaces empty beer kegs with full kegs with the aid of a dolly; stocks beer coolers.
Wipes down the interior and exterior surfaces of coolers.
s in setting up service bars and portable bars. Carries debris to waste containers.
May serve bottle beer, soft drinks and draw beer from kegs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
This position requires the incumbent to be available for shift work.
This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
This position is open to applicants on PCS orders to the UK (military or civilian) or hold a current UK Work Visa.
The incumbent must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages (18 years old).
Must be able to obtain Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.

The area of consideration for this vacancy announcement:
Citizens, permanent residents, and legal residents of the United States (US) who reside within the local commuting area (60-mile radius) of RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom (UK), or will do so within the next 30 days.
Permanent and legal residents of the US must be citizens of a NATO country, unless authorized to reside in the UK as a dependent of an employee who serves in support of the US Visiting Forces.
Eligible applicants must possess a US-issued social security number and be able to provide documentation proving residency status in the UK.
Applicants cannot be 'ordinarily resident'. A person is considered to be 'ordinarily resident' if they have resided in the United Kingdom (UK) for more than 366 days without an affiliation to the US Visiting Forces. Time spent in the UK as an employee, or dependent of an employee, of a US agency serving and supporting the US Visiting Forces (i.e., active duty military, federal civilian, AAFES, Red Cross, one of the contract universities, a military banking facility or federal credit union, or US government contractors) is not counted toward being 'ordinary resident'. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between the US and the UK, British citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, they may be eligible to apply for local national positions on base.

Qualifying Experience:
No previous training or experience is required.
Must be able to follow simple oral instructions and be able to use knives and automatic slicers to prepare garnishes.
Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.
Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of suitability and fitness for the position.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

Probationary period may be required.
