You are also eligible for NAF benefits such as: -Health/Dental/Vision Insurance - Life Insurance -401k with Employer Matching Contribution - AFNAF Retirement Plan with Employer Contribution - Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Leave - Paid Federal Holidays - Tuition Assistance Learn more about this agency Duties Selects and emphasizes program activities to be offered, both those in the basic program's minimum essential categories (e.g., table game, writing and TV rooms, and social educational, and cultural activities), and those designated to meet more specialized interests and needs and to provide a considerable enhanced program (e.g., leisure services and resources, information services, and recreation activities which augment and support such other military programs as domestic action, drug abuse, self-development, education, and interests, and to meet the limitations of funds, facilities, equipment, and volunteer and other staff support available. Plans and coordinates the detail of recurring and non-recurring activities, special events, and joint community undertakings to make maximum use of facilities, services, and other resources. Schedules and publicizes community center activities from the standpoint of participant response, resources, unforeseen developments, and program objectives. Develops and executes programs for a variety of special interest groups associated with the military community. Identifies the need for plans and conducts facility activities during deployments, exercises, and other special activities. Performs general facility management duties such as tracking facility utilization, coordinating work orders to correct deficiencies, and recommends facility improvements. Formulates, justifies, executes, and monitors accounting transaction, budgets, and resources. Plans, prepares, and presents briefing and other oral presentations as required. Accomplishes documentation in support of requests for personnel action and awards and disciplinary actions as appropriate. Performs duties as assigned. Provided guidance when performing new or complex duties. Uses own initiative to resolve problems and conflicts. Work is reviewed on a sample basis, evaluation reports and finished products. This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing. This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Tier 1 background investigation with favorable results. Incumbent must maintain and possess a valid driver’s license. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations The work requires physical exertion, and the employee must be able to bend, stoop, and left items weighing up to 30 pounds Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Qualifying Experience:Must have practical experience in developing, planning, organizing, and carrying out projects related to one or more recreational programs that have prepared the individual for performing broader projects described in the duties and responsibilities above. In addition, must have practical experience and knowledge of goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation services and methods & processes involved in a community center and ability to perform financial, program, facility, inventory, and personnel management. Must have skill to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Condition(s) of Employment: The work requires physical exertion, and the employee must be able to bend, stoop, and left items weighing up to 30 pounds. Required to pass pre-employment physical. Ability to operate 15 passenger bus or van. Must possess current driver's license. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level), State Criminal History Records Checks (SCHRC) and Installation Records Check (IRC). "This is drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use." You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
