Maintenance Worker Leader

Summary The Maintenance Worker Leader leads a complex maintenance program and assists the supervisor in overseeing subordinate workers, work schedules, equipment, facilities, and materials in the New World Screwworm (NWS) Dispersal Facility (NWSDF). Learn more about this agency Duties The duties may include, but are not limited to: Leads, assigns, organizes, inspects and participates in the work of personnel. Installing, providing preventive maintenance and repairing the industrial equipment that are in the Dispersion Operations. Operating, maintaining, solving problems and repairing the water supply system. Operating, maintaining, solving problems and repairing the air conditioning systems and ventilation of the center. Operating, maintaining, solving problems and repairing the electric and lighting system, including the preventive maintenance of the electric generator, and refrigerators. Designing requests for materials necessary for the repair and/or maintenance of industrial equipment in Dispersion Operations. Coordinating schedules of the assigned staff. Prepares procurement requests to obtain materials and equipment, and interacts with industry sources for supplies, services, and emergency call-out. Plans and lays out carpentry, sheet metal, plastic, HVAC and electrical projects. Requirements Conditions of employment You must be a US Citizen or US National. Qualifications To qualify, you must show you have had training and experience of sufficient scope and quality to provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
