Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Youth Programs, Yokota AB. This is Intermittent (Flexible) position, 0-40 hours a week. Learn more about this agency Duties Performs a variety responsible clerical support tasks; to include file maintenance, reservations, scheduling, answering and referring telephone calls and visitors to appropriate staff or office. Appropriately enrolls and ensures participants are signed in and out in accordance with established procedures. Provides information and answers question concerning type and availability of programs. Assist patrons with completing forms. Monitors parents signing children in and out of center. Denies admission of children with obvious illness. Computes, collects, and records fees and miscellaneous transactions. Prepares end of day/month reports. Tracks and records daily GPC (APF & NAF} transactions, credit cards, and petty cash/change funds transactions. Tracks and records daily customer payments, automatic payments, payment for contracted instructors. Prepares supporting financial documents such as accounting and financial reports, fund transfer reports, and other reports such as enrollment, attendance, and program usage reports. Notifies supervisor of any deficiencies. Uses word processing software to produce and prepare a variety of documents, reports, forms, messages, memorandums, statistical or tabular material, and other miscellaneous correspondence here spacing arrangement are complicated, directly into final form without a rough draft. Arranges the material in the form necessitated by the nature of the subject matter, the purpose for which it is to be used, the format required regulations, style manuals or policy. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using personal computer or workstation that is networked or linked to other computers or workstations throughout the work area or organization. Assist enrolling children into programs and checks patrons in to/out of center. Clerically assists in tracking and preparing activity program plans, reports, and staff schedules. Assists in preparing and posts duty schedules of staff to ensure that an adequate number of personnel are on duty. Assists with schedules personnel for required annual training. Uses time management software to perform duties as time keeper, responsible for entering and recording time and attendance records. Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone call and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files. Position is a position of trust and must be able to satisfactorily complete installation(s), state(s), and national criminal background checks. Subject to working an uncommon tour of duty, to include weekend and holidays. Subject to irregular tour of duty and use of uniform is required. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
