Recreation Assistant (Water Safety Instructor) NF-02

Summary This position is located at Fort Campbell, KY - MWR Aquatics. This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Health & Retirement Plans. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Serves as Water Safety Instructor; Manages all swimming lessons and instructs when scheduled. Develops swimming program based on student ability levels; Progresses students according to skill level. Instructs all levels of swimming to include appropriate strokes (infants through adults). Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students when appropriate to level of instruction. Works with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Successful completion of pre-employment physical is required for this position. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities. Must have current health assessment which documents good physical health, and free from communicable disease IAW current Army Policy. In addition, the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less).
