Team: Account Executive

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive (Velocity Team) based in Canada.

Accountabilities:

The role is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing sales opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and guiding prospects through a consultative buying process.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospect engagement and discovery through negotiation and closing.
  • Leverage experience selling SMB SaaS solutions to convert qualified leads into successful customer partnerships.
  • Own complex sales opportunities involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with executives, business owners, and decision-makers to understand business challenges and recommend effective solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product and customer use cases to deliver compelling value propositions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by supporting successful adoption and long-term retention.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve sales processes and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Apply strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking to successfully manage competitive opportunities.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with SaaS experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to close business in a fast-paced environment.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience selling SaaS solutions.
    • Proven experience closing SMB or mid-market SaaS deals.
    • Experience with product-led growth (PLG) business models is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success closing deals in the $5K–$10K+ ARR range.
    • Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to manage ambiguity, adapt quickly, and thrive in a changing startup environment.
    • Independent, self-motivated, and proactive approach with strong ownership mentality.
    • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong empathy and emotional intelligence when working with customers and internal stakeholders.
