Fetch Rewards is looking for a master social media storyteller and brand-builder who has experience with the concept that “people are brands”. You will work directly with and around the CEO.

About the Role: 

As an integral part of the Finance Department, the Accountant will primarily focus on sharing customer invoicing, collections, and communications with internal and external stakeholders, recording month end journal entries, and working cross functionally with departments to improve processes and ensure the accuracy in monthly financials. This position will share responsibilities with the senior and staff accountant. Being part of a hyper-growth company will also require this position to have extreme attention to detail, orientation skills, can comfortability with juggling multiple tasks. 

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with Partner Development and Integration teams.
  • Ensure invoicing and collections are current to help drive business decisions.
  • Streamline and develop processes for accounts receivables and other accounting areas
  • Post month-end journal entries, reconcile allocated balance sheet accounts, explain monthly, quarterly, and yearly variances
  • Work with our Financial Analysts to ensure the correct budget allocations
  • Provide support as needed to the accounting department, specifically with month-end completion and reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-4 years of experience working in a fast-paced high demand accounting department
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Familiar with US GAAP
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member, detail oriented, good communications skills
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Position can be remote, but will need to reside in the Chicago or Birmingham area
