Accountant (Canada/US Focus) - Remote position (LATAM)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Accountant to join our operations team at NTD. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting our financial operations in Canada and the US. While experience with Canadian laws can be developed on the job, familiarity with US accounting practices is a strong plus. This is a remote position for any country in LATAM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and compliance with relevant Canada/US accounting laws and regulations.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain key financial reports, including assistance with financial statement preparation.
• Conduct basic tax preparation and ensure timely and accurate payment of taxes.
• Use tools such as Dext, QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, NetSuite, Sage, or other accounting platforms to manage and organize financial data.
• Monitor and categorize expenses while maintaining accurate records.
• Be available during core EST business hours (9:30 AM–4:00 PM EST) to collaborate with team members and provide timely support to the business.
• Contribute to forecasting, risk analysis, and other financial planning activities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience with a focus on basic financial processes (e.g., AP, AR, reconciliations).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Dext, QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage or similar tools).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
• Availability to work within an EST schedule, particularly during core hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with US accounting laws and practices.
• Fluency in French is highly desirable.
• Prior experience preparing financial statements and handling tax filings.
