Accounting Analyst- Remote

Summary:
We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our talented accounting team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong foundation in accounting and analysis. Core functions will include monthly close responsibilities, internal and external reporting, internal control compliance, ad hoc analysis and other projects. This position will interact with cross-functional teams within DFIN, and will report to the Accounting Manager.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a remote environment with occasional team meetings in Lancaster, PA
Responsibilities:

• Support the month end close process including preparation and posting of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Revenue recognition including calculating accrued and deferred revenue entries
• Month end financial reporting and ad hoc analysis
• Reviewing financial statements for accuracy
• Recording prepaid and accrued expenses
• Reporting and analyzing variances to budget, forecast and prior year
• Interpreting and analyzing data, and preparing summary reports for management review
• Assist with quarterly, annual and interim internal and external audit requests
• Continuous review of internal control procedures to ensure SOX compliance
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvements within the accounting function, recommend solutions and document procedures
• Responding quickly and accurately to special reporting and analysis requests

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Strong collaboration and team building skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate results in a timely and consistent manner
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting
• SAP experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities
• Ability to resolve complex accounting problems
• Ability to analyze and summarize financial data and prepare financial reports
• Ability to quickly learn specialized
