Accountabilities:

As an Accounting Manager, you will own and enhance the end-to-end financial reporting function while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational scalability. You will act as a technical accounting resource, improve financial processes, and partner with internal teams to support informed business decisions.

  • Own the integrity of financial reporting across the full profit and loss statement and balance sheet.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Research, document, and communicate accounting positions related to IFRS 15, IAS 2, and IAS 16.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for complex accounting transactions and provide guidance on appropriate treatments.
  • Manage external audit relationships, ensuring audit readiness through strong documentation, controls, and proactive risk management.
  • Oversee revenue and deferred revenue accounting, ensuring accurate recognition, completeness, and compliance with evolving contracts.
  • Partner with billing, financial planning, operations, and procurement teams to improve financial visibility and reporting processes.
  • Manage inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Own key balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and redesign processes to prevent recurring issues.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and management reporting support.
  • Drive improvements across financial systems and workflows, including ERP and CRM-related processes.
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent judgment, and the ability to build scalable financial processes. You should be comfortable operating in a growing environment where ownership, collaboration, and problem-solving are essential.

    • CPA designation required.
    • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience within public accounting, high-growth companies, or similar environments.
    • Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly with IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition), IAS 2 (Inventory), and IAS 16 (Property, Plant, and Equipment).
    • Proven experience managing external audit processes and delivering successful audit outcomes.
    • Experience designing and improving reconciliation, close, and financial reporting processes.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations and explain accounting trade-offs.
    • High ownership mindset with the ability to take accountability for important financial outcomes.
    • Strong communication skills and experience influencing stakeholders outside of finance, including operations and leadership teams.
    • Ability to connect accounting decisions with broader business objectives and customer impact.
    • Preferred qualifications:

      • Experience working within a startup, SaaS, or hardware-enabled technology environment.
      • Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM platforms.
      • Experience with inventory models such as 3PL, consignment, or dropship operations.
      • Experience introducing AI-enabled tools or automation workflows into finance processes.
      • Background in building governance frameworks, standardized processes, or operational improvements.
