In this role, you will:
Lead all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department: the process at KAYAK/OpenTable. This is a unique opportunity to lead, develop, automate processes and implement strategic enhancements to the AP function. You will strike a balance between being a change agent and rolling up your sleeves to address any issues.
The department is responsible for timely processing of vendor invoices, analysis of the vendor inquiries, and identification of improvement opportunities. In addition to external vendors, you will also review travel and expense claims acting as the face of Finance to explain the Travel & Expense policy and how to use the T&E reimbursement system to users across the business.
We are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated leadership, and a natural curiosity on how processes work both up and down stream. A Self-starter that flourishes with details but can also identify how end to end processes impact our stakeholders. Understand and ensure all AP and expense reimbursement procedures are documented and reviewed. Excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on a fast pace and growth environment.

• Direct a team of professional analysts to deliver quality work. Meets the service level agreements to ensure timely delivery.
• Own the project management of process enhancements.
• Establish goals and key performance metrics to measure the quality and efficiency of the functional processes
• Act as liaison between Finance and the wider business to resolve discrepancies.
• Develop staff through coaching and providing timely feedback.
• Ensure team's adherence to company controls and policies.
• Review invoices in a quality and timely manner including account coding.
• Ensure approval requirements are met; approve daily bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Audits Travel & Expense reimbursement reports for compliance with policy.
• Lead monthly after-action review of errors and follow-ups required actions.
• Champion an inclusive environment where everyone's voice is heard.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proven experience in developing people for growth and success
• 5+ years in a high-growth environment, Accounts Payable preferred
• Thrive to actively lead projects to process improvements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
• Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite a plus
• Must be a proactive & highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Natural collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels within the organization.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.The range for New York City is $74,000-$107,000.
