Join our Centralized Financial Services team as an Agency Funding Specialist!

We offer an extensive benefits package after 30days of full-time employment as well as 2 weeks of paid time off after 90 days!!

Job Summary

The Agency Funding Specialist is a subject matter expert handling centralized VA certifications for Ancora campuses. Staying aligned with the company's core values, the Agency Funding Specialist ensures timely processing of VA students, is responsible for the ongoing monitoring and reporting of VA students and works closely with the Financial Services and Student Accounts teams to aid in the completion of common objectives. The Agency Funding Specialist is responsible for VA certifications, discussing benefit-related questions with VA students, packaging of VA students, assistance with other Non-Title IV funding sources to include State Grant programs and management of past due funds. Other responsibilities or duties may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities• Manage the administration of VA benefits across each Ancora campus• Assist campuses with document collection for Non-Title IV funding• Ensure appropriate documents are on file for each VA benefit recipient• Process timely certifications for VA students• Track, monitor and update certifications as needed• Discuss benefit related questions from students• Assist with other forms of Non-Title IV aid including state grant programs• Assist with the past due funding process

Experience Required

Minimum:• High School Diploma (GED acceptable) from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent - 1-year experience in accounting, banking, customer service• Previous experience at a campus in a Financial Services role• Knowledge of and experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Veteran funding

Preferred:• Associate degree in business, education, or a related field from an academic institution accredited by an accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education• Knowledge and experience with Non-Title IV funding agency rules and regulations• Experience with CampusVue academic and administrative platform or other industry related software, Enrollment Manager, and state based aid administration software

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers• Demonstration of the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects• Capability to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines• Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills• Strong computer software skills including Google products
