Job Description
SUMMARY
Teaching Assistants (TAs) play a critical role in teaching Correlation One’s virtual Logistics and Supply Chain training program. The TA commitment for our program will be for the duration of 17 weeks. TAs will be expected to support synchronous sessions as well as provide asynchronous support to Fellows to ensure their comprehension and learning.
We review applications on a rolling basis and expect to make all hiring decisions by January 9th, 2022. Please note that applications and roles are filled on a first come first serve basis.
DESCRIPTION
There are two programs that will be is held over the course of 17 weeks:
- Logistics and Supply Chain 3.0 (United Kingdom): January 17th, 2023 to May 11th, 2023.
- Logistics and Supply Chain 2.0 (United States): January 31st, 2023 to May 25th, 2023.
TA will support ~25-30 learners in their learning as they work toward completion of the program.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboarding (Pre-Program): January 10 - 13, 2023
We will host 1-2 live onboarding sessions, when we walk through the program elements, set you up on our systems, and ensure that you are prepared to teach and support learners effectively before the program launches on January 17th, 2023 (United Kingdom Program) or January 31st, 2023 (United States Program). We will provide training materials in advance of, during, and after these onboarding sessions, which will be important for you to ensure your understanding of this content and your responsibilities.
Mandatory Onboarding (Pre-Program Dates). Candidates must be available to attend one of these sessions.
- Thursday, January 10, 2023: 2:00pm-4:00pm ET (UK and US program)
- Tuesday, January 13, 2023: 2:00pm-4:00pm ET (UK and US program)
- Thursday, January 19, 2023: 11:00am-1:00pm ET (US program only)
- Tuesday, January 24, 2023: 11:00am-1:00pm ET (US program only)
Management and Support (During Program): January 17 - May 25, 2023
- Join us for our program launches, which will take place on the first day of the program, where you will introduce yourself to learners.
- Attend all classes for one of the designated program:
- Logistics and Supply Chain 3.0 (United Kingdom)
- Tuesday and Thursdays, 2:00pm-4:00 pm ET / 19:00-21:00 GMT
- Logistics and Supply Chain 3.0 (United Kingdom)
- Logistics and Supply Chain 2.0 (United States)
- Tuesday and Thursdays, 12:00pm-2:00 pm ET
- Logistics and Supply Chain 2.0 (United States)
- Provide 8 hours of individual office hour sessions for learners each week. You may set these hours within our parameters, for your convenience.
- Work with fellow instructors/TAs and our team on ways to improve learner experience (Note: you will be paired with a fellow TA to support a cohort of learners)
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working in Logistics and Supply Chain related careers
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in mentoring or supervising if no prior teaching experience
- A desire to support students in upskilling their careers into data roles
- Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content
- Prior teaching experience at any level is a plus
This position is accessible for those with other professional responsibilities, including full-time jobs, provided you can commit to regular synchronous support for live class sessions. We require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for any planned absences from live sessions or periods when Trainers are not available (i.e., scheduled vacations, other work commitments, etc.); we will communicate more specific expectations for this during the onboarding process.
