We look for people who are curious, creative and are willing to do the work to be a little better every day. We also embody our company values in all that we do, which always starts with being Customer Obsessed, followed by Be a Founder, Zero Drama, and Enjoy the Ride.

This role will help to shape the future of our centralized (hub and spoke) analytics service model as part of a fast growing team and company. As an Analytics Engineer at Podium you will be responsible for the infrastructure that supports all analytics projects, dashboards, reports, and models. • Architect data models through SQL
  • Collect and transform data using scripting languages (R/Python)
  • Write documentation for best practices and to record Podium’s data
  • Follow best practices around version control and mentor Data Analysts and Data Scientists on version control

What you should have:

  • 3+ years of work experience SQL and experience with multiple flavors
  • 2+ years of experience using Git for version control and R or Python scripting languages
  • Experience using dbt and Snowflake
  • Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, or hands-on job experience with data science or analytics
  • Strong drive to organize and document data in a reproducible manner
  • Ability to understand the business logic for structuring data in a given way while also understanding and overcoming the technical limitations and challenges of implementing the desired data structure
  • Eagerness to work on the development of internal tools, systems, packages, processes, and documentation
  • You have a proven record of providing analyses that have a tangible impact on the business
  • You are committed to honesty and a diverse and inclusive workplace

BENEFITS

  • Remote first work setting for Engineering & Product
  • Great opportunities for career growth
  • 401k with a competitive matching contribution plan
  • Unlimited Vacation (yes, we want you to have a work-life balance)
  • Great medical, dental, vision benefits
  • One time work from home setup allotment
  • Life insurance, long and short-term disability coverage
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave
