Application Support Engineer
Job Description
Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying system anomalies and ensuring smooth operation by collaborating with different teams. The position demands continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability and performance, contributing to the overall success of business processes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues and effective communication.
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize support processes and system stability.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in OpenText StreamServe.
- Strong knowledge of document composition and output management solutions.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex application issues.
- Familiarity with integration of OpenText StreamServe with other enterprise systems.
- Ability to analyze logs and system data to identify root causes of problems.
- Proficient in scripting and automation to streamline support tasks.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in OpenText StreamServe.
- This position is based at our Manila office.
