Associate Data Analyst

About You

As an Associate Data Analyst, you will help Nutrafol make informed, data-driven decisions and support our leadership team with critical insights into the business. You are incredibly detail-oriented, enjoy the deep dive into data and have the ability to connect dots across multiple views of the business. You are passionate about finding answers and solving problems and comfortable questioning conclusions and challenging assumptions, while backing up your arguments with a strong case and evidence. You will work with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and build reports and dashboards to inform real-time decision-making. The role is full-time and reports directly to the Director of Business Intelligence. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and gather requirements.
• Perform ad hoc data queries and analysis in response to stakeholders requests, or to assess quality and meaning of data
• Autonomously write required queries and code to extract data from a variety of sources
• Assist with different stages of the development cycle from data models documentation to implementation.
• Design, build, and maintain BI solutions (using Tableau) in a timely manner while quality controlling for accuracy and consistency.
• Demonstrate flexibility, creativity and a self-starter mindset required to thrive in a start-up environment.

Requirements: 

• 3-5 years experience in data analysis or other relevant role
• Expert level excel skills
• Intermediate or above level in SQL
• Ability to manipulate complex data sources and to analyze, pivot and graph complex datasets
• Intermediate, or above, in Snowflake or other similar data warehouse technology
• Intermediate or above experience with Tableau or other data visualization tool(s)
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
• Basic to mid-level understanding of business and financial concepts such as revenue calculations, retention models, etc. 
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities to dig through data in pursuit of answers or insights
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong sense of accuracy & detail
• Ability to pivot and adjust to changes to support business goals
