Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Space Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Ground and Mission Systems Engineering (GMSE) is looking for an Associate DevOps Developer (Level 2) to join our Engineering Analytics team in Seal Beach California.
The SI&WS GMSE division creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with both commercial and proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment concept development proposal writing requirements design build integration test and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
The Associate DevOps Developer will join a high-performing team that is immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to work proprietary programs for U.S. government customers who are responsible for exciting advanced technology national security missions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Apply modern DevSecOps / GitOps practices (including CI/CD pipelines automated configuration/testing containerized deployments and infrastructure as code) to streamline integration and test activities
- Stand up configure and maintain secure test environments leveraging cloud-native and virtualized resources
- Drive continuous improvement of integration and test processes incorporating automation metrics and lessons learned to increase efficiency and reliability
- Automate develop monitor improve and troubleshoot across development tooling testing integration deployment configuration processes and security controls
- Review develop document and maintain system requirements and traceability
- Interface with cross-functional teams senior leadership and external customers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
- This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated polygraph for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship
- 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with Ansible software platform
- Experience with Terraform software
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Packer Nessus and Trivy DevSecOps tools
- Experience with AWS Kubernetes ArgoCD mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS) cert-manager Harbor Postgres and Windows
- Experience with Shell and Python Scripting
- Experience working with Government customers
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification
