ABOUT THE FLOCK
To achieve our goals for the successful launch of our investigational gene therapy for Sickle Cell Disease (lovo-cel), we are expanding the marketing organization with the creation of a new position: Associate Director SCD Digital and Engagement Marketing, with a focus on launch/market preparation. The position - located in Somerville, MA (hybrid/remote candidates also considered) - will report to the Brand Lead, Sickle Cell Disease, and will be an integral role on the brand team ensuring that content development and execution are supportive of the brand strategy. This position will work across HCP and patient stakeholders as well as across all channels, but with an emphasis on digital channels.
HOW YOU’LL FLY
You’ll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Leading with a deep understanding of the evolving disease, product and competitive landscape including market insights and emerging clinical data to inform and shape digital and live experience programs.
- Driving the execution of digital and peer-to-peer marketing strategies to maximize HCP and patient awareness, engagement, and education while differentiating lovo-cel based on insights from patients, caregivers, and physicians.
- Contributing to overall brand planning process to ensure brand strategies are represented and integrated within critical success factors and key imperatives to support successful launch of the brand across key customers.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with critical stakeholders in Sickle Cell Disease to gain greater knowledge and understanding of the needs of the SCD community.
- Analyzing digital and live program performance and identify actionable insights that can be used to optimize future programs and performance.
- Managing agency partners, including timelines, budgets and resources while championing promotional materials through the medical, regulatory, legal review process and integrate feedback accordingly to ensure compliant execution.
- Collaborating with IT, operations and other teams to develop and evolve a patient at the center strategy – including both traditional means and emerging technologies – aimed at creating a robust ‘brand experience’ for lovo-cel.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science; MBA, or advanced degree, preferred but not necessary
- 5+ years in the pharmaceutical field (can include market insights, sales, marketing, etc) with 4+years’ experience in a bio-tech marketing role, preferably in rare disease specifically Sickle Cell Disease, Hematology, Cell and Gene therapy, Transplant
- At least 1+ years of digital marketing experience
- Demonstrated success working with patient communities and building relationships
- Experience in high science, competitive market required
- Product launch experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills, demonstrated ability to successfully drive a project to completion
- Solutions-oriented, strong analytical and presentation skills
Travel as required by business—20-25%, if local to MA, and up to 40%, if remote. Occasional weekends for Medical Congresses, Advisory Boards, etc.
