This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Associate Principal Engineer, ERP Dynamics Technical based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the technical evolution of enterprise ERP solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
You will design, develop, and govern scalable systems that support complex business processes across global operations.
The position combines deep technical expertise with architecture leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
You will drive best practices across development, integrations, deployment processes, and solution delivery while helping teams solve complex technical challenges.
Working in a dynamic digital engineering environment, you will influence large-scale transformation initiatives and mentor technical teams.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced ERP specialist who enjoys solving complex problems and shaping enterprise technology strategies.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end technical architecture, design, development, and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Define and enforce development standards, coding practices, technical governance, and implementation best practices.
  • Perform advanced hands-on development using X++, extensions, Chain of Command (CoC), event handlers, workflows, batch processes, and other Dynamics 365 extensibility frameworks.
  • Design and oversee customizations, integrations, connectors, and interfaces between ERP platforms and third-party applications using OData, REST APIs, Azure services, and integration frameworks.
  • Manage Dynamics 365 environments, deployments, and application lifecycle activities through Lifecycle Services (LCS).
  • Establish and maintain source control strategies, CI/CD pipelines, branching practices, and release management processes using Azure DevOps.
  • Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders, development teams, and global delivery partners to ensure successful implementation outcomes.
  • Mentor developers, conduct technical reviews, and promote engineering excellence across teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Create technical documentation, development guidelines, deployment materials, and knowledge transfer resources to support long-term system sustainability.
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise software development, with significant expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
    • Strong hands-on experience with D365 F&O technical development, solution delivery, and ERP architecture.
    • Expert knowledge of X++ development, Application Object Tree (AOT), customization, extensions, and modern Dynamics development patterns.
    • Proven experience designing and implementing D365 ERP integrations, connectors, and third-party application interfaces.
    • Advanced knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Lifecycle Services (LCS), deployment processes, and environment management.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps, source control management, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance.
    • Strong understanding of integration technologies including OData, REST APIs, Azure services, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
    • Experience with data platforms such as Data Lake, Bring Your Own Database (BYOD), Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform integrations.
    • Familiarity with Business Events, enterprise automation, and modern cloud-based architecture approaches.
    • Experience leading global D365 F&O implementation, support, or transformation programs.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with distributed global teams.
    • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications such as MB-300, MB-500, or MB-700 are preferred.
    • Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing domains is considered an advantage.
