Overview
As an Atlassian Systems Administrator, you will be the go-to expert for administering and optimizing Electric's suite of Atlassian products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence (for Cloud). Your primary responsibility will be the configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of these systems, which are vital for Electric's internal operations and service delivery to our customers. You will work collaboratively across the entire company to ensure effective utilization of Atlassian's tools, with a focus on driving efficiency gains through automation and integrating these tools into Electric's proprietary platform, Turbine.
What you'll do
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Atlassian products, staying updated on their latest features and releases to drive continuous improvements.
- Manage user accounts and licensing for Atlassian products, including adding, removing, changing, and maintaining accounts.
- Design, test, and implement system-wide changes in Atlassian products in accordance with Electric's change management policies.
- Take ownership of critical aspects of Atlassian tooling, such as workflows, screen schemes, automations, JQL, reporting, permissions, notifications, custom fields, marketplace add-ons, and integrations.
- Investigate and perform advanced troubleshooting for reported issues in Atlassian products, collaborating with Atlassian support, Electric's Product team, or third-party support as needed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on Atlassian product configurations, automations, and processes to facilitate change management and provide training to internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand their business challenges and develop tailored solutions that meet their unique needs.
- Handle project rollouts, changes, enhancements, and reporting requests submitted through Electric's internal request intake process.
- Work with Electric's Product, Engineering, and Data teams to enhance integration between Atlassian products and Turbine, Electric's proprietary platform.
Who you are
- Possess at least 1 year of previous work experience in administering Jira Software.
- Experience with Jira Service Management and Confluence is highly advantageous.
- Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-JCA) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, learn new platforms and skills on the fly.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proactive in seeking out and establishing relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, coordination, and execution of work.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
