About the Job

The Azure Cloud Architect, a Sr. Consultant in our Digital Health Division, will architect and implement solutions, and the needed infrastructure on Azure. The role will be working as a team and independently on external client facing projects. They will meet with customers to understand their needs and architect complex, Enterprise grade solutions that involve ETL pipelines, custom Databases, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Data Lakes, Integration with on-prem resources, IAM policies, Private Endpoints, etc. They must be able to learn and keep up with rapidly changing technology. They must exhibit proficiency in Enterprise systems, and design concepts, as well as work with a team of other engineers, IT professionals, and key business stakeholders. They must be able to do custom development, integrate older tools and technologies, and continuously build their skills. They must be able to research and analyze existing programs and prepare documentation for work assignments. As well as contribute to regular quality assurance activities such as a peer review.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in discovery discussions with clients to determine use cases and develop solutions
• Works closely with the Principal Architect, and ETL Developers to design the overall Azure solution which may include things like Storage Accounts, Private Endpoints, Azure Data Factory, Function Apps, Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse, Synapse SQL Pools (Azure SQL DW), IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, etc.
• Serves as the main Subject Matter Expert on the Azure Cloud Platform, all its various resources, how to configure them, administering IAM roles, and security settings 
• Will lead the development efforts on Data solutions, and Data Center Migration projects with a combination of PaaS and IaaS resources, for use in a large enterprise setting
• Create technical documentation for developed solutions
• Deliver training to customers on new technology

Required Skills and Experience

• Azure Certification in one of the following: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
• 3+ Years of experience in Architecting solutions on Azure in an Enterprise environment
• 3+ Years of experience in working with Azure Logs (e.g. Azure Monitor and Log Analytics), and developing monitoring solutions 
• 3+ Years of experience in Azure Active Directory, and Azure RBAC Roles to grant appropriate access to users to Azure resources
• 3+ Years of experience in Azure Administration; creating resources, securing private endpoints, configuring RBAC roles, and right-sizing resources
• 5+ Years of experience with traditional on-prem Enterprise technologies like Active Directory, TCP/IP, VPN, Routers/Firewalls, SANs, NAS, Client/Server environments, etc
• 5+ Years of experience working in an Enterprise setting
• Proficiency with Networking resources within Azure and integrating it to on-prem resources
• Proficiency in configuring private endpoints for all resources and restricting traffic to internal VNet and on-prem traffic only
• Previous experience with the Azure Data Stack in an Enterprise Setting (Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Synapse Serverless, Spark Pools, Fabric, etc.)
• Experience in migrating data and/or workloads from on-prem systems to the Cloud
• Experience in creating integrated solutions in a Hybrid Cloud environment (Cloud and On-prem)
• Experience with CI/CD toolset (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure Devops)
• Experience working GIT (GitHub, GitLab, Azure Devops)
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims

Preferred Experienc

• 4+ Years of experience with Azure Data Platform in an Enterprise Setting
• Healthcare experience is a plus
