Based in Chicago, IL, Fingerprint is a fast growing software development company specializing in the anti-fraud space preventing digital fraud by uniquely and accurately identifying users, and empowering technical teams to use that data in a way that works for their unique needs. It can verify legitimate users and block fraudsters even if they use VPNs, private browsing, clear cookies or other methods to hide who they are. Fingerprint helps websites secure their login, checkout and other pages from fraudulent login attempts, credit card fraud, cheating on online platforms and more by uniquely identifying every browser that connects to a customer’s website. We lead the industry with 99.5% accuracy in identifying unique browsers and are used by over 10,000 websites.
Position Summary
Our fast-growing team is seeking a high-performing Business Development Representative to join us as we expand into the APAC region. This team member will provide the first interaction to all potential Fingerprint customers and will be a foundational member of the Fingerprint go-to-market team in the APAC region. This is an exciting time to be the first BDR in the region and have a major impact in our growth and success as well as have the opportunity to work directly with the Sales Manager in building out the sales team in the region.
Core Responsibilities
As to be expected in a start-up moving as fast as we are, the scope of this position will evolve continuously so comfort with ambiguity is required.
Sales
- Create qualified pipeline
- Manage prospects from lead generation through demos with the ability to articulate the value proposition and navigate objections
- Conduct daily calling and outbound lead generation activities
- Build territory plans and detailed account-based sales strategies with Account Executives
- Conduct web and phone-based introductory conversations, discovery sessions, and initial demos to drive prospect engagement
- Use Salesforce.com to maintain and report on activities and metrics
- Travel for team events, conferences, trade shows, and customers
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Effectively work with marketing, product, design, and engineering teams to test product assumptions and provide a feedback loop from our customers
What You’ll Need:
- A desire to be the first BDR in region during this exciting time of growth
- Someone who believes in our mission: to empower developers to stop online fraud
- At least 9 months of BDR/SDR experience
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive attitude with an energetic, entrepreneurial mindset
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record achieving measurable and quantifiable goals in a previous role
- Desire and ability to go above and beyond to ensure that our customers have a great experience working with us at every part of their journey
- You are great at improvising and thinking of creative ways to address customer challenges through non-traditional approaches
- Success within an early stage environment – strong contributor in building winning products, playbooks, teams and cultures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of success interacting with colleagues in cross-functional teams
- Ability to operate in fast iterative cycles
Nice to Have’s
