About the Job:

Upside is rapidly growing and positioned to be the next growth engine for brick and mortar merchants! We're looking for experienced and highly-motivated sales professionals to join our growing sales team. This position will be responsible for driving new business and upselling existing accounts within select territories and DMAs with the support of a Business Development Associate.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive customer adoption of the Upside platform, services, and solutions to prospect companies through strategic conversations at all levels within these organizations
  • Become a two sided marketplace expert to effectively explain how Upside delivers value to our customers
  • Implement and launch Upside with clients and ensure strong and consistent relationships
  • Hit monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets (quota-carrying role)
  • Maintain an accurate and predictable pipeline in SalesforceĀ 

More specifically, you’ll:

  • Strategically map out prospects and opportunities in a geographic territory
  • Manage and work with a Business Development Associate to delegate prospecting and closing activities within an assigned territory
  • Source and contact new sales prospects to book appointments for product demonstrations
  • Deliver sales pitches and product demonstrations virtually, in person and in group presentation format
  • Use data to communicate value and opportunity throughout your sales process
  • Partner with Account Management to identify upsell opportunities with existing clients
  • Attend industry events to network with prospects and promote Upside’s solutions
  • Own your numbers - consistently meeting and exceeding your activity goals to build a fruitful pipeline that will provide consistent quota attainment

What you need:

  • 10+ years in a full sales cycle role: prospecting, pitching & closing in a technology environment
  • Successful track record of achieving/exceeding quotas
  • Ability to adapt, overcome objections, and present solutions
  • A great teammate that thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Experience operating sales technology tools, such as Salesforce, Google Suite, Outreach, Gong, etc.
  • Confident, eloquent, and effective public-speaking skills, with the ability to speak to both formal and casual audiences
  • Passion for your own professional and self-development
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% post-COVID
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
