Business Development Manager
Job Description
The Role
We are looking for an analytical, driven professional with strong coaching skills, technical aptitude, background in metrics reporting and a desire to support a scaling business development team to join Fusion as the Business Development Manager. This role reports to the Director of Business Development. The Business Development Manager oversees a team of BDRs who generate new business opportunities for the Account Executive teams.
They will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day processes and reporting of the BDR Team including:
- Recruiting, selecting, on-boarding, and training new employees
- Guiding BDRs to focus their call-out activities in the right segments, to the right target audience, with the right messaging, ensuring team is hitting targets and proactively monitoring and flagging issues to management that are preventing team members from hitting goals
- Building presentations to share BDR metrics and KPIs with leadership teams
- Gathering data and metrics from across sources on a regular basis to build daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports
- Streamlining weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting metrics in Salesforce and Excel
- Using Data anlaysis skills and experience to make observations and create insights to drive data-informed decision-making in BDR Department
- Overseeing BDR CRM hygine processes to ensure data quality expectations are met – for example hitting lead processing timelines, correct naming convention and note templates being used, etc.
- Coaching new team members on successful tactics in business development, including prospect research, cadence execution, and lead prioritization.
- Providing recommendations for improvement to existing prospecting strategies, email templates and phone scripts.
- Running weekly report for BDR Team Metrics through Salesforce and Excel, and when needed transferring reports to PPT for internal use
- Manage team prospecting content (email templates, snippets, phone scripts, etc) in our sales enablement platform (Salesloft).
- Work with the Director, Business Development to deliver consistent reporting to Fusion executive management.
- Maintain and update documentation for BDR processes and the BDR Playbook
- Write and edit cadences for BDR followup on events and inbound leads
- Work with the Director, Business Development to recommend and execute BDR team process and program improvements such as reporting efficiency, training, etc.
- Drive BDRs to achieve quarterly quota of both appointments and qualified opportunity pipeline.

Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years managing a lead generation team
- Proven track record of lead gen goal attainment
- Expertise in using ZoomInfo and other prospecting tools
- Deep experience building reports and dashboard in Salesforce to track and monitor BDR KPIs, and manipulating data in Excel as needed for reporting
- Hands-on experience with sales enablement platform, Salesloft highly preferred.
- Previous inbound and outbound lead generation experience
