  • Ensure all procurement transactions align with company policies, FAR/DFAR regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Conduct market research and strategic sourcing initiatives to identify cost-effective, high-quality suppliers and procurement solutions.
  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain supplier relationships while supporting supplier qualification, performance management, and ongoing evaluations.
  • Create, issue, track, and reconcile purchase orders while maintaining accurate procurement records and audit-ready documentation.
  • Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual conditions to secure optimal value and minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Contracts, Accounting, Program Management, and Quality teams to forecast procurement needs and support overall supply chain objectives.
  • Monitor deliveries, resolve discrepancies, expedite shipments when necessary, and coordinate corrective actions for rejected or defective materials.
  • Prepare procurement reports, performance metrics, and analyses to support leadership decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Recommend process and policy enhancements to improve procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Requirements:

    • 3–6 years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience, preferably supporting U.S. Government contracts.
    • Strong understanding of FAR and DFAR procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Proven experience in supplier sourcing, qualification, market research, bid evaluation, and procurement negotiations.
    • Familiarity with government contracting ERP systems such as Costpoint or similar procurement and material management platforms.
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain coordination across Accounting, Contracts, Program Management, and Quality functions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
    • Experience with ITAR/EAR procurement processes and foreign supplier sourcing is considered an advantage.
    • Professional purchasing certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or equivalent are a plus.
    • Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a detail-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
    • Comfortable working in operational environments that may occasionally involve exposure to varying physical conditions.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation package based on experience, skills, and market factors.
      • Comprehensive health and dental insurance coverage.
      • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
      • Paid time off for vacation and personal needs.
      • Opportunity to work within a collaborative and mission-focused environment.
      • Exposure to strategic procurement operations supporting high-impact programs.
      • Professional development and career growth opportunities.
