Adecco is currently seeking an Industrial Drafting Technician (CAD Technician) for a full-time position with a growing manufacturer in Ottawa, ON.
As an Industrial Drafting Technician, you will create and maintain 2D/3D technical drawings, standardize and optimize production work sheets, implement and improve work instructions, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives alongside production teams.

As an Industrial Drafting Technician, you will create and maintain 2D/3D technical drawings, standardize and optimize production work sheets, implement and improve work instructions, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives alongside production teams.
- Salary: $30/hour
- Location: Ottawa, ON
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Hours: 42.5 hours per week
- Contract: Full-time
- Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy
- Create and maintain 2D/3D technical drawings using Onshape
- Standardize and optimize production work sheets
- Implement and improve work instructions using VKS (Visual Knowledge Share)
- Support technical data structuring through tools such as Retool
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean manufacturing, waste reduction, workflow optimization, standardization)
- Collaborate closely with production teams to enhance efficiency and quality
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Drafting, or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (Onshape or equivalent)
- Strong interest or experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both on the floor and in an office environment
- Organized, autonomous, and detail-oriented
- Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada
