Certified Journeyman Electrician

Certified Journeymen Electrician Job Duties: • Minimum 7 year experience as an Electrician/Journeymen • Must have current Journeyman's License • Security Clearance will be required • Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams. • Inspect electrical components including transformers, panels and circuit breakers. • Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems. • Install and bend EMT/Rigid conduit, use hand and power tools, reading blue prints and able to reference code • Some labor intensive work such as trenching, demo and lifting and installing panels, light fixtures, etc. • Install lighting, lighting controls, panels, switchgear, generator and ATS. • LED retrofitting existing lighting. • Electrical troubleshoot & repairs. • Install EV charging stations. • Inspects equipment and repair and replace as necessary to avoid downtime. • Install new equipment at commercial and industrial locations. Maintains, trouble shoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. • Operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation system. • Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned. • Work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices utilizing lifts and ladders. • Perform equipment repairs and similar duties without oversight or direction. • Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems. • Good understanding of Drives and PLC is a plus. • Ability to identify electrical hazards and execute proper safety procedures. Job Requirements: • Minimum 7 years of industry related experience as a commercial or industrial electrician. • Osha 30 Safety requirements • Able to lift min 50lbs, climb ladders, operate a scissor lift, boom lift, and forklift. • Have access to a vehicle with a valid driver’s license. • Electrician hand tools and power tools. • Strong inter-personal skills along with the ability to interact with all levels of management. • Provide excellent communication skills written and verbal.
