Our team is rapidly growing and looking for an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to support our customer and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. About the role:

Embark on an Exciting Adventure as Raft’s first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Are you ready to become the guardian of cutting-edge platforms and systems for our prestigious clients? Raft is seeking a passionate and talented Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to spearhead the cybersecurity dimension of our innovative solutions. Join us and play a crucial role in securing Authority to Operate (ATO) while collaborating closely with our development team to ensure a perfect blend of security and functionality from the get-go.

What we are looking for:

• Mastery of obtaining and maintaining ATO for classified government cloud systems, in compliance with DoD policies such as RMF, NIST standards, and more
• Expertise in creating and managing Body of Evidence (BOE) artifacts like POA&Ms, SSPs, RARs, Vulnerability Assessments, and Security Assessment Plans
• Proficiency in crafting eMASS packages and implementing DISA STIGs
• Experience in a K8s DevSecOps environment, preferably with Platform One
• Keen attention to maintaining comprehensive, accessible IS security-related documentation
• Track record of leading programs/projects in attaining ATO
• In-depth understanding of Network Rules, Platforms, and Application development
• Familiarity with cloud-native, scalable services
• Experience with FIPS, RMF control policies, and Executive leadership (PMO office)
• Someone with great ISSO skills aiming to level up to a CISO role, or a current CISO seeking a fresh challenge
• Ability to handle day-to-day ISSO duties and strategically think at the company level for multiple projects getting ATO at IL4 or IL6
• A strong background as a team member in securing an ATO at IL4 or IL6 and experience in eMASS
• Higher education degree in cyber security
• Ability to obtain Security+ within 90 days and CISSP certification within 6 months of joining Raft

Highly preferred:

• Knowledge of Cloud platforms and migrations
• Previous experience as a Solution Architect
• Engineering background
• Experience in a software factory setting
• Prior Air Force Experience

Clearance Requirements:

• Minimum of a SECRET clearance or higher
