About This RoleAre you ready to make a difference? Parallel is seeking a Chief of Staff to act as an extension of our executive team and work directly with our CEO, Diana. In this role, you’ll leverage your skills to support Diana in managing the executive team and making key decisions on our operations, people management, go-to-market strategy, financial planning and more. As the Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will play a major role in shaping the strategic direction of the company as well as making a direct impact by working with cross-functional leads to implement high priority company initiatives. Â

- For the first 90 days, you’ll shadow all of Diana’s meetings, share her to-do list, inbox and ultimately get an insider view into how she operates. It’s extremely important that you’re flexible with your schedule during these first three months in order to make the most of your onboarding experience.Â
- Once you’re up to speed, you’ll be responsible for the following (all in partnership with Diana):
- Managing the executive team, ensuring all business units are on track to hit key KPIsÂ
- Define and monitor key company metrics and OKRs on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and work with key business leaders to remediate any potential inefficiencies or issues
- Partner with finance to understand company financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis and implications for growth and business metric improvementsÂ
- Conduct targeted data and strategic analyses on high-priority topics to facilitate decisions on key business and operational matters
- Develop narratives and recommendations from analyses and present findings to leadership and key stakeholders Â
- Identify next steps and design end-to-end solutions from analysis and recommendations; Work with functional and operational stakeholders to implement changes
- Identify, prioritize, and operationalize new strategic initiatives as decided by Diana and BoD
- Lead recruiting process for key executive hires and other high priority roles
- Lead and organize creation of materials for board meetings and other investor communications
- Lead select special projects and key initiatives as they emergeÂ
What You’ll NeedÂ
This position is perfect for someone with 3-5 years of experience in strategy, finance, or operations. Ideal candidates will also have worked in other fast-paced and action oriented organizations such as management consulting, investment banking, or other high-growth start-up environments. In addition, you’ll need:
Â- Be based in NYC - we do not have formal office space and Diana travels often, but it’s important that you’re based in NYC and able to collaborate with Diana in person regularlyÂ
- Demonstrated experience working with senior leadership to achieve company and/or business unit objectives  Â
- Experience analyzing data from various sources to to gain actionable insights and next stepsÂ
- The ability to summarize and present findings from data analysis and other research in a clear, concise and action-oriented mannerÂ
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross functionally including the finance team, clinical team, product/eng team and more    Â
- Excellent project management skills Â
- The ability to multitask, quickly get up to speed on new areas, and a willingness to operate outside of your comfort zone Â
- Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in business, strategy, operations, etc. or equivalent work experience)
- Bonus points if you have worked previously in health care or educationÂ
- Bonus points if you have worked previously in management consulting or finance
