Responsible for the success of Provider and lineal Staff workflow and the quality of Athena Net solutions and optimization through the development and maintenance of sustainable end-to-end processes, documentation, and adoption targets and implementation of medical devices, including documenting and tracking application development and production technical flow, setting standards, implementing control, and following procedures to maintain systems. Identifies, manages, and schedules any ongoing enhancement, workflow change, and remedial training needed across all application users in alignment with other departments.

- Offer system and process enhancements, define scope of work and stakeholders, and develop implementation roadmaps and drive to timely completion
- Conduct needs assessment and troubleshoot issues that arise during implementation and recommend specific solutions such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, or redesign of processes and workflow
- Display an exceptionally high level of attention to detail and consultative service skills in each
- Through problem solving and critical assessment, supports initiatives and recommends opportunities for increased efficiency within the clinical and administrative workflows for end users of our software application.
- Administrative liaison with clinical applications
- Accountable for documenting and tracking application development and production technical flow, setting scalable standards , implementing control, and following procedures to maintain systems
- Conduct assessment with senior staff on transition and migration to EHR implemented for clinic programs.
- Maintain and improve existing escalation procedures
Skills for success
- Ability to fully utilize VillageMD’s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
- A deep understanding of Athena Clinical Workflow certification and/or understanding of the Athena One product suite.
- Demonstrated project management skills (technology and people) with a track record of achieving goals on time and on budget.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences how the system will be built and maintained
Licenses, Certifications:
- Clinical Licensure: LPN, LVN, RN, NP, PA or MA
- Athena Certification desired or expected within 90 days of hire
Experience to drive change
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 -10 years of related work experience
- Must have knowledge or previous experience working within a healthcare setting, ambulatory setting preferred
- Knowledge of current clinical nomenclature, classification systems, anatomy, and physiology required ; claims processing and physician payer policy knowledge strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of alternative payment models such as value based payment
- Must have a working knowledge of medical-legal rules and regulations that govern the confidentiality and release of medical information, with the ability to interpret and implement the standards
- Oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability interact with high-profile individuals, negotiate sensitive issues, and achieve consensus with stakeholder groups
- The ability to document and communicate knowledge of procedures and techniques is required
- A high degree of proficiency in use of computer systems, including Microsoft office
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external team members and contribute to team performance, including a variety of duties including changing assignments, priorities and deadlines
- Approximately 25% travel required
