Position Summary
An Effectual Cloud Application Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions for our clients. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful delivery of cloud-based applications and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cloud Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud application designs. Develop architecture blueprints, technical specifications, and implementation plans for cloud-based solutions.
Cloud Application Development: Design and develop cloud-native applications using industry best practices and modern cloud technologies. Leverage cloud platform services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to build robust, scalable, and secure applications.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect and manage cloud infrastructure components, including virtual networks, storage, and compute resources. Implement efficient resource allocation, scalability, and high availability strategies to optimize application performance.
Security and Compliance: Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of cloud-based applications. Implement appropriate security controls, encryption mechanisms, and access management policies to protect client data and meet regulatory requirements.
Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize cloud application performance. Conduct performance testing and tuning activities to improve application response times, throughput, and resource utilization.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the application lifecycle. Mentor and coach team members on cloud application architecture, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in cloud computing and application architecture. Proactively research and evaluate emerging cloud services and frameworks to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience as a Cloud Application Architect or a similar role.
Strong expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based applications using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Node.js.
Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, including virtualization, networking, and storage.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of security principles, encryption techniques, and best practices in cloud security.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving business requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
