Cloud Architect

LTK has always been at the forefront of technology development and operates fully in the cloud.  We are now looking for a Cloud Architect to help take our solutions to the next level.  This person will play a critical role in maturing and maintaining our cloud environment and strategy.  This person will work within the LTK Architecture organization and will work across our various Engineering teams in meeting our needs to mature our cloud based solutions and application services.  Ideal candidates must be able to drive solutions from design to delivery while being hands on and having the ability to drive change through influence.      

Job Responsibilities:

• Work in LTK Architecture organization 
• Identify cloud architecture solutions and opportunities for high impacting changes
• Design, build and deliver solutions needed to mature our cloud environment and architecture to align with industry best practices and enable high performing application development
• Work with various Engineering teams in adoption of capabilities and solutions 
• Lead and facilitate communication across Engineering teams about guidance and best practices related to software architecture
• Be a resource for teams for design and code reviews
• Regularly evaluate cloud architecture and continuously improving best practices at LTK
• Keep up with industry best practices and trends related to cloud and application development

Desired Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with previous experience working as an Architect or within an Architecture team
• Strong practical experience with designing and implementing cloud infrastructure and distributed solutions which are multi-account, multi-region and/or multi-cloud 
• Strong practical experience with cloud organization and governance 
• Strong knowledge and experience with AWS and also preferably with other cloud platforms such as Azure and Google
• Strong knowledge and experience with networking and developing distributed solutions globally
• Strong knowledge and experience with containerization and container environments 
• Strong knowledge and experience with eventing, event sourcing patterns, and developing event based solutions  
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and trends 
• Experience with CNCF technologies and the open source ecosystem 
• Experience with cloud configuration and orchestration tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform
• Experience with writing services and tools in Golang and Python
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps
• Knowledge of best practices with databases and providing them in a cloud based environment
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
