Overview:
The LivePerson SRE team is looking for talented Cloud Architects to join our Cloud Transformation team. We are looking for engineers with strong hands-on experience with cloud-first and cloud-native design. We believe in partnering closely with our engineering and product teams to help drive cloud adoption and design highly available systems. You will report to the Director, DevOps
You will:
- Help establish and promote best practices for engineering teams through examples, training, and reusable IAC code.
- Document service onboarding golden paths for teams to quickly adopt and maximize usage of the public cloud.
- Collaborate with application and service delivery teams to develop solution options, lead discussions, help troubleshoot, and make recommendations on cloud-native architecture.
- Analyze emerging technology and market trends, and help establish architecture patterns and best practices.
- Be a thought leader in the latest cloud technology including AI/ML, serverless computing, continuous delivery, infrastructure as a code, automation, and service discovery
- Identify opportunities for process improvements through automation.
- Help develop and extend in-house built cloud enablement tooling.
- Deploy changes to internal tooling applying IAC and configuration management tooling.
- Occasionally assist engineering and product teams in lessons-learned processes to improve cloud-based system design.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or in place of a 4-year degree, equivalent engineering work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Software Engineering role.
- 5+ years of experience working in a public cloud environment or on public cloud related projects. GCP experience would be very relevant
- Certifications for AWS, GCP, or Azure or GCP Professional Cloud Architect .
- Strong expertise in designing cloud-native data systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, data privacy and security.
- Experience and knowledge of API design and highly scalable systems.
- Experience working independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
- Experience managing infrastructure in a hybrid cloud (on-prem & public cloud) is desirable.
- Experience with Go or Node.JS is desirable.
