Job Description

Team: IT

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Enablement Engineer based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of a modern, cloud-first engineering organization, focused on enabling scalable, secure, and efficient software delivery across AWS-based environments. You will design and enforce cloud standards, improve developer experience, and ensure infrastructure is reliable, cost-efficient, and compliant. Acting as a bridge between platform engineering and product teams, you will help developers build faster through automation, Infrastructure as Code, and self-service tooling. The environment is highly collaborative and innovation-driven, with a strong emphasis on DevEx, observability, and cloud best practices. You will also contribute to evolving CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and distributed systems architectures. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about building the foundations that empower engineering teams at scale.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for enabling and improving cloud infrastructure standards, developer platforms, and automation systems that support rapid and reliable software delivery across the organization.

  • Implement and maintain AWS cloud standards across infrastructure, networking, and application components, ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Support and evolve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and reusable patterns to enable developer self-service and consistency
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and secure delivery practices
  • Build, maintain, and improve automation and deployment tooling to enhance developer productivity and platform reliability
  • Support monitoring, logging, and observability systems to ensure performance, reliability, and proactive issue detection
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across AWS environments, including performance, security, and scalability challenges
  • Contribute to cloud security and compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support internal developer platform services
  • Create documentation and support training efforts to improve developer autonomy and platform adoption
  • Requirements:

The ideal candidate has hands-on AWS experience and a strong background in developer platforms, infrastructure automation, and distributed systems. You are technically strong, collaborative, and comfortable supporting complex cloud environments at scale.

    • 3–5 years of experience in AWS cloud environments or developer experience/platform engineering roles
    • Strong experience with AWS services, including PaaS offerings and production-grade deployments
    • Background working with distributed systems and containerized workloads (ECS, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
    • Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub or GitLab
    • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, or Bash)
    • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
    • Experience supporting cloud security, compliance, and observability practices
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and systems thinking
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration with engineering stakeholders
    • AWS Associate-level certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks
      • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
      • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
      • Remote-first work environment with flexibility across the United States
      • Home office setup stipend and provided company equipment
      • Annual professional development budget and access to learning platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Learning)
      • Generous PTO policy and paid parental leave for all parents
      • Wellness support programs and mental health resources
      • Career growth opportunities within a fast-scaling cloud engineering organization.
