About the Job
Taulia is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and collaborative Security Engineer to join our team and help us scale our DevSecOps platform worldwide, and who can:
- Work cross-functionally to continue to grow our security infrastructure to meet increasing cybersecurity threats
- Be a key member of the team responsible for implementing and maintaining the security infrastructure across the Taulia enterprise
Core Skills and Key Competencies
- Work with teams to monitor for threats and remediate vulnerabilities
- Participate in security incident response
- Increase security automation and response capabilities
- Manage and improve SIEM infrastructure (Elasticsearch / Kibana / Logstash) deployed on GCS
- Help build out dashboards / visualizations / alerts as required by various teams using SIEM
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in the Information Security field
- 3+ years working in Linux administration
- Proficient understanding of Linux systems and networking concepts
- Demonstrable experience with Cloud operation technologies. Specifically, Google Cloud Platform, and/or AWS
- Experience with log collection, analysis, and performance monitoring
- Experience working with security control frameworks (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, PCI, etc.)
- Experience working with information security laws and regulations involving GDPR and Data Privacy
- Comfortable writing scripts in ruby/bash/groovy/python (at least two of those)
- Experience with security monitoring tools, network security, endpoint security, application security
- Experience in researching security issues and vulnerability remediation
- Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering
- Experience coordinating with teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate issues
- Extremely reliable and we can count on you in times of need
- You are smart with an intellectual curiosity that motivates you to keep on top of security and technical trends
- Strong interpersonal and teaming skills - ability to implement processes and influence engineers who are not direct reports
- Eagerness to work collaboratively, autonomously, and proactively to build out scalable solutions
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a regulated (financial, healthcare, etc.) industry
- One or more security certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISA, CISM, CCNP, CSA, etc.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing and tuning Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash
- Able to formulate Elasticsearch queries of all kinds to analyze and alert on incoming data
- Experience with Docker: Strong understanding of virtualization, and container technologies
- Knowledge of clustering & service orchestration frameworks/tools e.g. Kubernetes, Helm
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques for analyzing streaming and nonstreaming data
