Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all collection activities of the Banks delinquent mortgage portfolio
  • Communicate with clients on their past due loans through phone calls and e-mail, following regulatory guidelines for collection practices while exercising appropriate etiquette.
  • Advise clients on their payment options and suggest alternative and convenient methods of payments.
  • Responsible for establishing alternative payment arrangements to cure defaults, recognizing potential problem loans, covid deferrals, recommend loans for charge-off, foreclosure as well as legal action when necessary
  • Maintain accurate client payment records and details for follow-up as necessary.
  • Collect appropriate client financial documents / data for review and provide suitable repayment options.
  • Responsible for handling direct and indirect disputes in regards to credit bureau reporting utilizing eOSCAR, ensuring timely resolution and accurate record management as required.
  • Work with the Legal department to facilitate payment plans and send delinquency and workout solicitation notices as appropriate
  • Stay current with state and federal laws regarding consumer delinquency and collections, as well as GSE requirements for delinquency collection, loan modification and repayment options
  • Research and respond to difficult client inquiries timely
  • Prepare delinquency reports for management and periodic meetings as necessary 
  • Liaison with members of management and the Bank’s legal department regarding collections reporting and status
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred Skills

  • FISERV Premier experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of collections systems
  • Familiar with eOSCAR
