Commercial Roofing Foam & Coating Leader

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-onFoam and Coating Field Leaderto lead field operations for commercial roofing projects involvingspray polyurethane foam (SPF)andfluid-applied coating systems. This position plays a critical leadership role in managing production crews, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety compliance, and overseeing all stages of foam/coating installation across a variety of commercial and institutional structures. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in foam and coating systems, the ability to lead and train crews, and a proven record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Key Responsibilities:Project Leadership & Execution • Oversee all field operations for SPF and coating projects, from planning through punch list closeout • Supervise rig setup, spray application, material mixing ratios, and thickness measurements • Conduct roof inspections to assess substrate conditions, slope, and adhesion integrity • Monitor and ensure compliance with dry film thickness, recoat windows, and manufacturer specs • Manage daily site logistics, material deliveries, staging, and crew scheduling Production & Financial Management • Track labor hours, material usage, and equipment allocation in real-time • Ensure production goals are met while maintaining profitability and schedule adherence • Record and report job costs accurately using platforms such asSageor similar systems • Support financial visibility through proper documentation and timekeeping Crew Leadership & Safety Compliance • Lead and manage field crews (internal and subcontracted) of 5–15+ personnel • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily work planning meetings • Train team members on foam rig operation, spray safety, and application standards • Enforce jobsite safety protocols in compliance withOSHA,PPE, fall protection, and respiratory standards Pre-Construction & Job Planning • Perform site walks to assess conditions, identify hazards, and determine sequencing • Collaborate with estimators, coordinators, and clients on scope, schedule, and execution • Review safety plans, job packets, and scope details with crews before mobilization • Verify materials and equipment are ready and compliant with job-specific needs Client Interaction • Act as the on-site point of contact for clients and property stakeholders • Provide regular project updates and manage expectations professionally • Coordinate access and address client concerns, job changes, or schedule delays • Ensure quality closeout and post-job satisfaction Required Experience & Qualifications: • 5+ yearsof experience in commercial roofing with direct SPF and coating system exposure • Proficiency in fluid-applied coating systems (silicone, acrylic, elastomeric, etc.) • Hands-on experience operating and maintaining foam rigs, proportioners, and spray equipment • Strong working knowledge of substrate prep, adhesion testing, and foam application parameters • Ability to supervise production teams and subcontractors effectively • Experience with construction software, project documentation, and cost tracking tools • Must have valid driver’s license; OSHA 30 preferred Ideal Attributes: • Highly organized and proactive in managing jobsite operations • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to train and mentor crews • Problem-solver with a quality-first and safety-focused mindset • Flexible and adaptive to jobsite challenges, with a commitment to team execution • Prior experience with federal/commercial clients or complex public projects a plus Compensation & Benefits: • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience • Bonus structure tied to project and branch performance • Company truck, gas card, and mobile equipment provided • Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, retirement plan • Long-term career path with growth opportunities in a well-established commercial roofing firm Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Company truck • Dental insurance • Fuel card • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Experience: • Commercial Roofing : 4 years (Required) • Foam & Coating : 4 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Phoenix, AZ 85074 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Phoenix, AZ 85074: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
