ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to support service desk operations.
- Create clear, concise, and engaging content for various communication channels including emails, newsletters, informational website updates and knowledge base articles.
- Act as the primary point of contact for communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical writing expertise for web publications and outreach initiatives.
- Ensure that all service desk communications adhere to standards and guidelines by maintaining consistent branding and messaging.
- Conduct regular meetings with the client and IT vendor to collect information and ensure accurate messaging.
- Collaborate with the IT vendor to maintain a list of all user email addresses for accurate messaging.
- Develop and execute crisis communication plans to manage major events and emergencies effectively.
- Stay updated on the latest communication trends, tools, and best practices.
- Continuously seek innovative ways to improve communication effectiveness and user engagement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a communications role, preferably within IT or service desk domain.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- proficient with communication tools and platforms (Cvent,Govdelivery etc.)
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work effectively with multiple vendors and teams.
- Relevant certifications in communications or project management are a plus.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
