Content & Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
This role will work alongside the Content Manager to develop and execute education programs for 4 products and assist in the development and strategy to support and achieve digital revenue goals as well as develop audiences for digital publications, WorkBoat, National Fisherman and The Cut.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Marketing Director and Content Manager to identify, develop and execute strategic marketing plans to support digital and in-person conference initiatives
- Oversee the successful build-out and deployment of newsletters for digital publications WorkBoat, National Fisherman, and The Cut.
- Assist with webinars to support digital content year round
- Work with the Conference Manager on master conference timeline and strategic planning
- Coordinate the call for proposals process and program development as directed by the Conference Manager
- Research new speaker ideas based on content needs and industry developments
- Document industry trends, tracks competitive events, and other content-related research as assigned
- Update and maintain the accuracy of conference content in internal databases, websites and printed materials
- Maintain a high level of speaker relationship management through the collection of presentations, session information, etc.
- Manage speaker logistical needs including housing and travel
- Compose compelling copy highlighting the education programs for product sites, emails, social media outlets, print and other marketing pieces; update conference program online schedules
Required Skills:
- Knowledge: Broad knowledge of education program development and B2B conference planning.
- Skills: Self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have exceptional attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including strong PowerPoint skills), Wordpress, Salesforce and other systems. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders. Must be able to work cooperatively within a team and across departments while balancing competing priorities.
- Travel: Occasional travel will be required, approximately 4 times a year.
Flexibility: We will consider a fully remote placement. If local, you have the option to work a hybrid schedule. Two days a week at the office at 121 Free Street in Portland, and three days a week from your home office. The office closes every Friday at 3:00 pm (provided your work is in good standing). We fully support "work/life" balance.
