Human Interest’s Legal Team is looking for an exceptional Contracts Manager who will work independently within the department to negotiate and close contracts. The person will own the management of the contract management tool, Malbek, and lead contract negotiations for various types of contracts including NDAs and MSAs, SOWs and other vendor agreements.Â
What you get to do every day
- Use your experience to timely draft, review and negotiate agreements, including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Consulting Agreements, and Confidentiality Agreements, escalating to others as needed
- Evaluate and provide advice on issues and complex transactions such as those involving data privacy, data security, partnerships, and intellectual property rights
- Manage a high volume of agreements from start to finish to support the company’s operational needs
- Develop collaborative working relationships with cross-functional partners, including Revenue, Events, IT/Engineering, and Finance
- Operate and support our existing contracting policies and processes and assist in the development and implementation of process improvements
- Play an important role in the continued implementation and management of our contract management system
- Develop and contribute to the development of contracting playbooks and templates, and support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements
- Develop and deliver training on contracting policies and processes or contract issues for the company
- Serve as primary point of contact for business stakeholders on contract matters
- Assist on other projects and supporting administrative functions as needed as part of the legal team, such as state and local jurisdiction licensing and litigation support
What you will accomplish
What you bring to the role
- Demonstrated track record in Contracts Management with at least 6-10 years of experience with a full range of contract types, methods, and techniques, with at least three years experience in SaaS/Fintech contracting
- BA in a relevant discipline, JD from an accredited law school or paralegal certificate is preferredÂ
- Working knowledge and track record of drafting and negotiating agreements including Non-Disclosure Agreements, SaaS MSAs, and SOWs
- Ability to independently identify contract-related risks and issues and propose solutions and mitigations
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills, with the ability to work with or without a playbook
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Excellent business judgment
- Strong communication and social skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated ability to perform and thrive in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment
- Technically savvy and familiarity using contract management systems
- Prior experience working with Malbek is a plus, but not required

Compensation - The salary range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $105,000 - $145,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, compensation/equity mix, and market data. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards, short-term incentives, or sales compensation.
