The Team
Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimal financial management, and efficient operations across the business. The team consists of Accounting, FP&A, and Tax.Â
This Position
As a Controller, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient close and financial reporting process. You will play a critical role in overseeing daily accounting activities, creating new or improving existing accounting processes.Â
Job Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of daily accounting activities including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Journal Entries, Payrolls, and etc.
- Lead the monthly close process for US parent company and multiple international subsidiaries ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial statements ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Conduct monthly financial review to provide insights into the business, potential needs for team growth and identifying areas of improvement
- Liaise with external auditors on annual audit
- Drive projects, provide accounting guidance and often service as first point of contact for FP&A, Tax, and business partners to resolve issues
- Prioritization of tasks while providing active coaching to a team of talented individuals
- Review and improve existing process and implement new procedures when applicable to the business
- Research, conclude, and memorialize technical accounting position papers
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of accounting experience
- Degree in accounting or related field
- CPA (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of accounting management experienceÂ
- Experience working with a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or complex company
- Global Accounting experience
- Â
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using Xero, Fathom, Bill.com, or other accounting systems
- Experience with researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
- Demonstrated history of solving multiple complex operational and accounting challenges
- Aptitude for team leadership
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
