Job description

Team: Accounting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Controller / Senior Accountant based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of a rapidly expanding healthcare services organization operating across multiple states and managing several legal entities. You will take ownership of end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in a high-growth environment. The position combines hands-on accounting execution with strategic financial oversight, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both detail-oriented work and business partnering. You will manage full-cycle accounting, payroll, AP/AR, and multi-entity consolidation while supporting leadership with actionable financial insights. Working directly with senior management, you will help shape scalable financial processes as the organization continues to expand. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly support operational efficiency and long-term growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, ensuring accurate accrual-based bookkeeping and general ledger integrity
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
  • Manage accounts payable processes, vendor relationships, and timely bill payments across all entities
  • Track and analyze accounts receivable, including weekly reporting, aging analysis, and collection oversight
  • Process payroll and contractor payments while ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll tax requirements
  • Coordinate with external accountants and CPAs for tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop financial reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs to support leadership decision-making
  • Strengthen internal controls and help build scalable accounting processes to support business growth
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at Controller or Senior Accountant level
    • Strong expertise in accrual accounting, financial statements, and multi-entity accounting environments
    • Hands-on experience managing AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close processes
    • Familiarity with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory requirements
    • Experience with payroll systems such as Gusto or similar platforms
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities independently
    • Experience in healthcare (dialysis, home health, or medical services) strongly preferred
    • CPA certification or CPA-track background is a plus
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary aligned with experience
      • Virtually unlimited PTO and flexible time-off policy
      • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
      • Health insurance coverage (Blue Cross Blue Shield for employee, with dependent options available)
      • Fully remote work arrangement
      • Opportunity to grow into a senior financial leadership role
      • Direct exposure to executive leadership and strategic decision-making.
