Copywriter (Korean Fluency) - Contractor

Job Summary

Ruggable is a leading direct-to-consumer / e-commerce brand based in Los Angeles, California. We pride ourselves in having an extremely loyal base of customers and a talented team made up of genuinely caring people with strong bias towards action and results. 

As our South Korea copywriter, you will help Ruggable introduce the brand to a Korean audience by developing and adapting creative copies to the local market, ensuring that the brand voice and tone is consistent but adapted to the local context. You will collaborate with a brilliant team of creatives and performance marketers in the HQ and in the local market.

In this role, you will provide ongoing copy support for the website and other marketing assets to support growth initiatives. This is a very flexible freelancer position.

What You’ll Do: 

• Review and adapt global marketing copy to fit the South Korean market, taking into account local market preferences and context
• Translate and write engaging, creative, and selling copy for the website and other marketing channels (e.g., social media)
• Transcreate marketing slogans and other branded phrases
• Produce compelling and grammatically correct long-form copy as well as effective headlines, taglines, and calls to action
• Edit/QC all written content before publication for grammar, spelling, tone of voice, and brand alignment
• Present work to creative and business stakeholders, listen to and incorporate feedback

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

• Strong language fluency in English and Korean
• Ability to work remotely during regular hours on either Pacific or Eastern Standard Time
• Copywriting and translation experience for a company that sells consumer products 
• Strong understanding of the local South Korean market / culture
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good grammar, spelling, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with writing copy content creation across different marketing channels (social, email, landing pages, blog, etc.) in Korea
• Understanding of the e-commerce industry and the role of copywriting within the marketing team

Compensation:

• $25-$35 per hour
