Pie is looking for a Creative Director to join our Marketing team to build and lead a world class creative team that will become the envy of the industry. Reporting directly to our VP of Marketing and as our first internal creative hire, you'll be a player-coach who will partner closely with the brand team to set the look, tone, and feel of Pie's brand across all Pie's marketing assets and channels. We are looking for someone who can build innovative, creative, and impactful programs to connect America's small businesses and agency partners with our brand to deliver measurable business results. You're just as comfortable designing a massive flashy campaign as you are getting in the weeds to build top performing creative in our performance marketing efforts.
How You'll Do It
  • Develop a small (to start) but mighty world-class creative team with a vision and passion that attracts top talent and meets the needs of a growing organization.
  • Build and manage a team of creatives to execute across all major creative projects across web, mobile, audio, social, digital, OOH, video, experiential, and TV.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and outside agency partners to set the creative strategy to bring the brand to life across initiatives, channels, and activations.
  • Operationalize creative production to develop a system that allows for agility, empowers creatives to do their best work, and drives business growth.
  • Partner closely with the brand team and channel owners to build a consistent end-to-end brand experience across marketing touch-points and mediums at every point in the funnel.
  • Build deep partnerships with product design to ensure consistency of the overall experience of our brand.
  • Develop an iterative approach to creative to cultivate a testing culture for creative assets to drive performance improvements.
  • Cultivate ownership of marketing initiatives and performance across the creative team through iteration, experimentation, and subject matter expertise in products and/or channels.
  • Inspire creativity across the organization to drive innovation, big ideas and calculated risk to supercharge our growth and culture.

The Right Stuff
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's Degree or college coursework is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the creative field with a portfolio of results-driven work that shows diversity of experience across both online and offline marketing is preferred
  • 5+ years of specific experience in leadership and people management is preferred
  • Experience leading an in-house creative team that has developed creative campaigns for performance acquisition marketing in addition to brand marketing. Bonus points if you've built that team from the ground up.
  • Deep experience with and love for performance marketing across channels
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with brand management and design
  • Demonstrated knowledge with creating marketing campaigns across mediums-web, OOH, print, social, TV, video, internal collateral (e.g. presentations)-across the funnel (awareness, conversion, advocacy, etc.).
  • Consistent experience juggling multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Small Business audience experience is a plus
  • Some travel could be required in this position, up to 10% travel.

Compensation range for position: $165,000 - $230,000

Location Information
Unless otherwise specified, this role has the option to be hybrid or remote. Hybrid work locations provide team members with the flexibility of working partially from our Denver or DC office and from home. Remote team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
