Lead the creative evolution of a fast-growing technology platform shaping the future of cloud infrastructure for developers.
This role combines brand strategy, creative leadership, and hands-on execution to define how a modern technical company presents itself globally.
You will establish a strong creative vision across digital experiences, events, product touchpoints, and brand systems.

You will collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and executive teams to create meaningful experiences for technical audiences.

Accountabilities:

The Creative Director will lead the brand’s creative direction and evolution, building scalable systems while maintaining a high standard of quality across every customer-facing experience.

  • Own and evolve the overall brand strategy, positioning, creative vision, and messaging framework in partnership with product marketing, design, and executive stakeholders.
  • Define and maintain a consistent creative direction across websites, events, social channels, product experiences, campaigns, and brand initiatives.
  • Establish creative standards for visual identity, motion, illustration, voice, tone, and other brand expressions.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented brand designers while building a strong culture of collaboration, feedback, and creative excellence.
  • Create scalable brand systems including guidelines, asset libraries, and marketing design frameworks that support company growth.
  • Improve creative workflows and prioritization processes to ensure high-quality output while maintaining speed and flexibility.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams on major launches, events, and strategic company initiatives.
  • Ensure the brand effectively communicates trust, innovation, and credibility to technical audiences and enterprise customers.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on creative contribution when needed to deliver impactful work.
  • Champion a user-focused approach to brand experiences and continuously raise creative standards.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is an experienced creative leader with a strong background in brand development, design systems, and managing high-performing creative teams.

    • 10+ years of experience as an Art Director or Creative Director, ideally within developer tools, infrastructure, SaaS, technology, or another technical industry.
    • Proven experience managing and developing creative talent, providing clear feedback, and building effective design teams.
    • Strong strategic thinking skills with a portfolio demonstrating brand vision, creative leadership, and impactful execution.
    • Exceptional visual design judgment and a high standard for digital experiences, identity systems, and brand expression.
    • Deep understanding of brand systems, guidelines, scalable design processes, and maintaining consistency across multiple channels.
    • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with product, marketing, engineering, and executive teams.
    • Ability to understand and communicate with technical audiences, including developers and technical buyers.
    • Leadership style centered on trust, clarity, collaboration, and empowering creative teams.
    • Experience working in fast-growing environments where priorities evolve quickly and teams scale.
    • Nice-to-have qualifications:

      • Experience evolving a brand from developer-focused audiences toward enterprise-level positioning.
      • Understanding of how AI-native products influence branding and user experiences.
      • Experience leading creative direction for events, conferences, and community experiences.
      • Familiarity with design engineering, prototyping, motion, or working closely with code.
      • Experience sharing creative perspectives through talks, writing, or personal projects.
