Critical Care Intensivist | 7-on/7-off | Neuro-Critical Care Preferred

Headline: Practice Full-Scope Critical Care Across Medical/Surgical and Neuro ICUs Along Florida's Atlantic Coast

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Critical Care Medicine physician with additional Neuro-Critical Care board certification or board eligibility to join our expanding Critical Care program serving AdventHealth Daytona Beach, AdventHealth Palm Coast, and AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway.

This newly opened position supports expanding ICU coverage across multiple hospitals and offers the opportunity to practice full-scope Critical Care Medicine across medical/surgical and neuro-critical care ICUs within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented intensivist dedicated to clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration while supporting AdventHealth's mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.

Position Highlights

* 182 shifts per year

* 7-on / 7-off schedule

* Primarily 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

* Closed ICU model

* Coverage across medical/surgical and neuro-critical care ICUs

* Rotating coverage across AdventHealth Daytona Beach and Palm Coast facilities

* Team of 10 Critical Care physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers

* Strong support from hospitalists, neurology, neurosurgery, and subspecialty teams

* Newly opened position supporting expanding ICU coverage

Night Coverage

All intensivists participate in shared in-house night coverage.

With the addition of two physicians, night call will rotate approximately one week every six work cycles, or approximately every 12 calendar weeks.

* 32-bed closed Medical/Surgical ICU

* New 24-bed Neuro ICU

* Tertiary care hospital with advanced cardiovascular and neuroscience programs

* Designated comprehensive stroke center for this region

AdventHealth Palm Coast

* 18-bed closed Medical/Surgical ICU

AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway

* 10-bed closed Medical/Surgical ICU within a new state-of-the-art hospital

The program is supported by strong collaboration with hospitalists, neurology, neurosurgery, and other subspecialty teams.

Qualifications

* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine

* Additional Neuro-Critical Care board certification or board eligibility preferred

* Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain

* DEA license or ability to obtain

* Strong communication and team collaboration skills
