Cybersecurity Disaster Recovery Strategic Consultant

A minimum of 10 years of experience and previous experience in business recovery or disaster recovery planning is required.

· Work with Business Continuity management to ensure that the disaster recovery crisis management) and business continuity plans drive disaster recovery (DR) strategy and procedures.

· Represent disaster recovery cost requirements in the annual budgeting process.

· Experience in security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity.

· Experience in virtualization technologies: Server, Storage, and Networking.

· provide support in the development of a government agencies emergency management and business recovery plans.

General knowledge of business processes, management structures, and technology programs/platforms are preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are desirable.

· Perform functions pertaining to the agency’s business risk assessments; review and develop business recovery strategies; draft procedures for identifying failures and invoking contingency plans.

· Create response procedures and identify communications channels. communicate with various response teams during testing and actual execution of recovery procedures.

· Support the design, development, installation, implementation and administration of backup solutions.

· Make recommendations to the user community and the operations group on system enhancements.

· Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans.

· Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points.

· Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors.

· Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management. Collect and share important KPIs and other Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery related metrics like Recovery Time Objective (RTO) & Recovery Point Objective (RPO) with senior leadership team and other stakeholders.

· Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services with certifications is a major plus

· Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe)

· Experience with collaborative tools such Confluence, SharePoint, Wiki.

· Familiarity with BCDR tools like Assurance is a major plus.

· Solid understanding of SoX compliance and controls.
