Job Description: As a data architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the data architecture and infrastructure of an organization. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including business leaders, data analysts, and IT teams, to understand data requirements and develop effective data solutions. You will also play a key role in ensuring data quality, security, and compliance across systems and processes.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the overall data architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders or facilitate meetings to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design, implement, and optimize logical/physical data models, databases, data integration processes, and data pipelines.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across systems and processes.
  • Define data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Establish data management processes and tools for data acquisition, storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the scalability, performance, and availability of data systems.
  • Conduct data analysis and profiling to identify data issues and propose solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices related to data architecture and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational/NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with data visualization tools to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python) for data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a data architect or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with data management tools, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
