Data Designer

We are hiring a Data Designer to work on a pivotal Federal program that is making a positive impact on millions of Americans' daily lives. 

What you'll be doing:

As a Data Designer you will be responsible for managing our data visualization strategy.  Oddball needs a resource who can understand what data our customers need visualized to answer their product questions, take the data that the data engineer would ETL into Domo, transform it themselves so that they can create the visualizations they need, and present it to the customers.

What you’ll bring:

• 4+ years of proven data design experience
• Experience with DOMO, BigQuery and SQL
• Nice to have: Experience with Google Analytics dashboard
• The ability to design and build standard dashboard components/templates. Work with users to customize and create additional dashboards/visualizations as the situation requires
• Ability to take raw data, accomplish some simple data transformations, and visualize it into dashboards, reports, and charts
• Able to visualize data to communicate findings based on user goals
• Understands the design and UX implications of of different data visualizations, including best practices for reports/dashboards and charts
• Ability to present data designs to stakeholders
• Ability to communicate with our data developers to understand data nuances and limitations
• An ideal candidate is someone who can design and develop new dashboards based on design and analytics standards and can take the lead on what/how things should be visualized

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically 
• Must be able to  attain low-level security clearance

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $100,000 – $140,000
